April Doss was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on January 16, 1982. Her parents along with her oldest brother nurtured her thoroughly with love. She had a strong upbringing that helped shape her mentally, physically. and spiritually. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ at Antioch Baptist Church. At that age she began to understand gifts and callings. It didn't take long to know she was very creative and gifted in writing. Writing poetry, essays, speeches, and drawing was her escape and how she expressed herself. She was able to show her abilities in the church as well as school. She attended Magnolia Public Schools. It was then she found her love for music as she sang in the school choir and played the trombone in the school band. May 2000 she graduated and received an academic scholarship to Southern Arkansas University. Life started to take form as she transitioned into Adulthood.. Tragedy struck April 2003, in which her maternal grandmother was killed in an automobile accident. This was a hard time and she felt she needed to get away.

April moved to Dallas, Texas in search of a new life. It didn't take long for her to pick up the pieces. She enrolled at Cedar Valley Community College. While attended college in Texas, December 2003, her fraternal grandmother died. Two strong women had received eternal rest and was her now her "Dream Angels." April, graduated with her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. By this time April, was a single mother to her son Jeremiah. She was working at Head Start of Greater Dallas and working towards on her Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Texas. She graduated with her Bachelors and began working as a Social Worker for the homeless department at Metrocare Services. It was then her childhood dreams were coming alive. By working here, she was able to humbly serve people with disabilities. The population she worked with were disabled, suffering with mental illness, and dealing with substance abuse addictions.While working at Dallas Behavioral Healthcare, she started her Graduate Degree in Mental Illness and Substance abuse with a Christian background to become a Counselor. She was pursing her degree and tragedy struck her. She was riding her motorcycle and was hit by a car. She was thrown 30ft. in the air; suffering a severely broken body, brain damage, internal bleeding, and three strokes which left her paralyzed. Devastating because Dr's said she would never talk nor walk, but April was a strong believer and came from a strong, praying family. She believed God's word; God said it and it was so!

Here I am! God is awesome and I am still here to tell my story. That's why i say "WORDS" have power! This is my first novel "An Undefying Line."
